Guest Speaker: Professor Robert Salitore 

Before his full-time association with DeVry/Keller Professor Salitore spent 35 years as a senior executive in human resources of which he evenly split between Healthcare and Financial Services. In 2011 he returned to full-time teaching and currently serves as a Faculty Chair in the Department of Management and Business. Professor Salitore’s areas of practice include all levels of leadership and management as well as the entire undergrad and graduate portfolio of Human Resource Management.  Professor Salitore is actively involved in authoring courses in HR, Change Management, and Leadership at both the Graduate and Undergraduate levels. 

 

This evening Professor Salitore will speak on job search realities in the 21st century as well as how technology, Covid 19, and other market realities have impacted employment strategies from hiring to resume writing, interviewing, and networking.

Guest Speaker Event with Linda Wayerski
Topic: The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)

Dr. Linda Wayerski went over the benefits of belonging to a professional organization focusing on the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
She will spoke about how being a member of a professional organization can significantly complement one's experience and education. This organization is available to anyone involved in human resources, leads in the human resource function, or has an interest in human resources. Dr. Wayerski reviewed the SHRM-Professional Credential process with the exam, and how to earn professional development credits. Overall, this presentation gives more insight into what professional organizations offer in the areas of current industry knowledge and networking.
