Purpose
The purpose of this event is to promote scholarship. This is accomplished by DMD Keller Graduate School alumni attending graduate business student's final course presentations in their Combined Capstone Course. DMD alumni will promote scholarship by sharing their knowledge and feedback with graduate students. This event also provides graduate and undergraduate students who have not yet taken a Combined Capstone Course with a preview of what to expect should they take the course in the future. Attendees will also gain exposure to the elements of a business plan.
The presenting students are making their final business presentations.
The Presentation
Students in the the Keller Combined Capstone course prepare a business plan for a new business startup. Students will present their business plan for comments and questions to a team of panelists. The course is called Combined Capstone because students from all different majors come together to create the business plan. The presentations, questions and comments will last no more than 1 hour.
How To Participate
A. As a Panelist
If you are a Delta Mu Delta Member and alumnus of Keller, you may attend the presentation as a panelist. As a panelist, the professor teaching the course will expect you to ask questions and make comments just as a professor would.
B. As an Observer
If you are a DMD member and graduate or undergraduate DMD student or alumnus, you may attend the class as an observer. The professor may also allow questions from you if you wish. However, asking questions is optional.
How To Attend
We invite you to join by selecting one of the free tickets that appear after you press the Register button. You are not required to produce a ticket when you attend the class of your choice; the ticket is there to allow us to advise the professors who are attending. You must select a ticket to attend.
IF YOU RSVP, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE CLASS. In the past we had a lot of no-shows even though many people RSVP'd, so please, follow through with attendance after you RSVP
Please let me know if you have any questions with an email to bward@devry.edu.
We hope you can make it!
Sincerely,
